Revisited, Revisioned,and Reworked

I posted this work in progress awhile back. It has taken some time, but I decided to revisited it and change the color scheme. I think there was something wrong that I could quite put my finger on it and I lost interest. I decided to come back to it and see what I could to improve it. After making some changes to the color I found my excitement renewed. I'll post the progress as I go.

Don't stop Jamin! Great update! Do you use several layers or only one?

In the beginning I use separate layers. The first layer is a neutral color about a value 5. The next layer is were I do a first pass drawing with a good size brush. After I'm happy with that I make a new layer and with a smaller brush and a darker value I refine the drawing. The next layer is the background. The figure is on a separate layer. I usually merge the background and the figure towards the end.
